Jeana James is an elementary school counselor at Horizon Elementary - Washington County School District. Her first experiences in school counseling were at the secondary level, which she enjoyed, but soon found that her heart and soul was in prevention at the elementary level. Being part of setting that foundation for all student success is empowering and rewarding. Jeana was named the 2015 USCA Elementary School Counselor of the Year - an award she is very humbled by. She has written over 50 character education lessons and is a published writer. Jeana is a teacher, trainer, speaker, innovator. Being a school counselor has enhanced her life more than she ever dreamed.
